Robert

Robert is my friend. He lives at the Village. He is seven. Last summer when I visited the Village we had a chance to play together and to tour the home under construction that would soon become his new home.

Robert’s photo has been on my refrigerator since December 2008 following the Open Arms banquet. At the conclusion of the banquet I had purchased several of the rotating picture frames that had been used to adorn the tables. Each had a photo of a child. I did not think about the frames or the photos until I opened one up to give to a friend. And there was this beaming angelic face. I did not know his name I just knew that this precious child of God had found a place in my heart.

Each time I go to my refrigerator I say a prayer for my friend. I look forward to finding out what great things God has planned for his life.
