162 prescriptions in one afternoon

Wednesday saw the OAI Kenya team, plus 4 from the UK, and the film crew and family from US, and 3 Kenyan doctors, all doing a one day medical clinic at Kambi Teso.
It was an intensive day, as it included setting the clinic up (tent up, unpack pharmacy, sort out triage and doctors stations etc), doing the clinic and then taking the clinic down.
But it was worth it, as we saw 162 people, all related to children on the feeding prgamme, so all very much in need; and as a result, 162 people were able to sleep slightly better last night thanks to the easing of illnesses, or peace of mind at a simple diagnosis.
For us on the team it is a humbling position to be in- to experience the opportunity to use what we have to serve others - whether it is as a doctor after years of training, or as a pill counter after 5 minutes of training. God doesn’t see the difference, it is how it comes from the heart that matters, and I thank God for giving us that opportunity to make a difference
