the rains have come, and so have the termites

Just received an update from Kenya with various great bits of news in it including that our newest family member has been officially committed by the courts, so indisputably an OAI child which is wonderful for her as it brings stability and love to her life.
But the comment that made me smile most was the comment about the termites and the rain. Apparently the rains have come at last to Kenya, but with them have come the termites! 4 wings per creature, into everything, and not for the faint hearted! But to the Kenyans they are another source of food, and apparently there has been great hilarity in the OAI office as Kenyan staff members try to convince UK and US staff members that termites are a delicacy -fried, and served with salt!
Just goes to show - we might think the world is getting smaller in many ways, but there are some things that we are still poles apart on!!
